The empire is officially 249 years old and that means it’s entered its 10th House Profection Year. This brings forward Virgo energy and makes Mercury the planetary influencer until meriKKKa turns 250.
Hopefully, this fascist regime collapses before it sees that 250 milestone… let’s see if we can find ways to use this ancient technique to move that collapse along, shall we?

This is an ancient technique recovered about 35 years ago by a team of AstroNerds who were translating Hellenisitc Astrological Texts. You can learn more about this technique from the same source I learned about it from here .
(Chris Brennan is a great resource for traditional astrological techniques and he was on that team of AstroNerds who translated these techniques from ancient texts. He does tend to stay unbiased in his presentations about current events, which is a disappointment to me personally, but he has done extensive historical and political astrological research and reporting so while it’s lacking in support of the correct side of history his chart does lean towards a Saturnian, journalistic tone that’s worth connecting with if you’re trying to understand and use this techniques for disruption and resistance)

I use this technique on every chart I read, not just for peeps but also for countries, governments, and sometimes even current events. I am not sure if this has been explored much by other astrologers but I find it so eerily accurate that I always dip into this toolbox when I am looking at current events.
Let’s take a look at meriKKKa’s Chart (from astro.com)
This is the chart commonly called The US Sibley Chart. There are a few “US Charts” but I prefer this one.
This chart shows meriKKKa has a Cancer Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Sagittarius Rising. The Chart Ruler is Jupiter, which is located in Cancer, conjunct Venus and The Sun in the 8th House. This chart has Virgo in the 10th House, which is the Activated House in 2025. The Planet Mercury rules Virgo which makes the planet of thoughts, ideas, communication, travel, and systems the most activated planet in both the natal chart and in the transit to the natal chart during this Mercury year.
Let’s break down meriKKKa’s Profected Year
A Tenth House Profected Year Brings...the focus to our reputation, career, and public life. The 10th House for entities is connected to the Brand or the larger public perception and reputation of that entity. Since meriKKKa exists more as an idea or “dream” than a reality, its public perception is a very powerful weapon in its arsenal. The propaganda it has woven into the zeitgeist of the modern world is actually more powerful than its entire arsenal of nuclear weapons and machines of war. However, much of that propaganda is being broken down more and more each year that goes by.
A Virgo Vibe Year Brings…forward an energy of purification, alchemy, and judgement that only Virgo holds. This Zodiac Sign is called the Virgin, the Maiden, and the Nurse by pop astrology. While some of those archetypes CAN be connected to parts of Virgo, these are clearly designed to attach Virgo to more of a white supremacist ideology than its more true nature of The Witch, The Sexual Healer, and The Midwife.
Virgo keeps things clean but not from a place of perfection or judgement, but from a place of what’s good for the self is good for the collective. Virgo knows the medicine, but it’s also BFFs with Scorpio, so it also knows how to use the poison as medicine too.
Virgo is not afraid to do hard things, especially once it’s done all the research and it discovers that thang is causing harm. This energy is IDEAL for connecting to disruptive, healing Magic. It’s going to ask this toxic culture to get it’s act cleaned the fuck up. It’s going to call forth the Witches in the Woo Closet to cast the curses, hexes, and spells that Pop Magic repeatedly tells us are “dangerous”.
This Virgo year, coupled with the Uranus in Gemini transit, is going to challenge EVERYTHING we know, think, believe, and hold as an ideology. I mean, WTF do we really know about the root of Magic when the empire was so good about destroying all of our collective history and rewriting it in their favor? Really ask yourself where you get your Witchcraft Practices from, and I bet you’ll quickly realize that too much of it comes from whiteness and patriarchy.
I will continue to encourage us all to ask, “WHY do I think that?!?!” every time we reach the edge of using Magic for destruction, disruption, and revolution. There’s a very, very intentional reason why Pop Culture invests so much in stories, narratives, and movies about Magic and Witching that constantly tell us not to do certain things when those are the exact things we need to be doing in order to keep the poisons from becoming to powerful. Virgo keeps that energy in check as the official town Witch, the midwife, the alchemist, and the librarian. Use this energy to un/reLearn your way out of these old beliefs so you can replace them with your unique Magical Gifts and Tools for disrupting this toxic entity known as meriKKKa.
A Mercury Year Brings…so many fucking thangs! Mercury is the planet of thoughts, ideas, communication, travel, and systems, making it a very busy, energetic planet. It may be the most well-known planet in pop culture because of its retrograde cycle. This is the most important point to keep in mind during a Mercury year and meriKKKa is likely going to be more susceptible to the Mercury Retrograde Cycles that occur during its Mercury Year. It will be very useful to notice when Mercury is Retrograde because we could try to use this energy to expose the lies of empire, isNOTsee propaganda, and to edit what we know about our collective history during these cycles. These retrograde could potentially be more disruptive for the empires propaganda machine so it’s also important to be prepared to combat the flow of information during these cycles.
Here are the complete dates of all the Mercury Retrogrades, including the ingress and exit shadow periods, that will occur during the Mercury year:
These will impact meriKKKa’s 9th House (Leo), 12th/1st Houses (Scorpio/Sagittarius), 4th House (Pisces) and 8th House (Cancer). I will spend more time digging into this as we move thru these cycles over the next year. We’re already in the Leo Retrograde cycle and since this is in the 9th House for meriKKKa we’re already experiencing some wild AF streams of communication from the world.
It’s possible this cycle will push the Orange ManBaby King (who has a Leo Ascendant) to express even more chaotically than ever before. He’s determined to make himself a king and there’s a strong chance he will be able to move some of that agenda forward with these Mercurial twists BUT/AND there’s also an opening for us to expose the shit out of that with these AstroWeathers. I also found it interesting that ALL of the Dark Houses (12, 4, 8) in meriKKKa’s chart will be examined by Mercury Retrogrades during this Mercury year. These are Water Signs in this chart of meriKKKa. That’s some deep, deep, uncomfortable WeRK that offers us so much powerful opportunity to disrupt and decompose toxic systems of oppression and psychological violence. I am looking forward to using this energy for Dark Magic!
I think this is enough Mercurial info to start with BUT/AND I want to say that this Mercury year will also be bringing forward additional resonance in the Gemini House, which for meriKKKa is the 7th House. This will be adding a strong current of electricity to the Uranus in Gemini transit.
Uranus in Gemini | Peak Revolutionary Vibes
Uranus entered Gemini for a sneak peek session on 7/7/25, but it will be retrograding back into Taurus again on 11/9/26 and it won’t return for its full presentation of Uranus in Gemini until 4/26/26; it will stay in Gemini until 2033. Why is this important to note?
Well, there are several reasons why this transit is one to watch. The main one is that meriKKKa has Uranus in Gemini in its natal chart. This means meriKKKa will experience its Uranus Return and when we look back at the last two Uranus Returns for this imperialist nation we find some curiously troubling patterns.
The first one happened from 1859-1866 (Exact Dates: 2 Jun - 1 Jan 1859, 14 Mar 1859-- 27 Jun 1865, and 17 Feb - 27 Mar 1866). This was the exact time frame of The Civil War.
The second one was from 1941-1949 (Exact Dates: 7 Aug - 5 Oct 1941, 15 Oct 1942 - 30 Aug 1948, and 12 Nov 1948 - 10 Jun 1949). This cycle connects with meriKKKa joining WWII and the start of The Cold War.
Chances are very, very good that we are headed into a repeating cycle. This is not a cycle that Uranus in Gemini creates THIS is a cycle that the empire takes advantage of by using these AstroWeathers to innovate its propaganda machine to cause chaos so it can harvest and hoard resources. We can use it to fight back by un/reLearning all the thangs. We can fight back by reclaiming that innovation to create systems of care for our communities. There is a lot of potential for successful revolutions and renovations of our ideologies. Again, this won’t be the first time I bring this transit up AND there are lots of revolutionary astrologers out here talking deeply about this cycle. Let Me Share One More Pattern…
If you didn’t know, I’ve recently discovered that I am Autistic. This explains so much about my Astrological obsessions AND my deep love of the patterns it reveals. In the process of writing this article I created a WeRKsheet so I could trace the history of each of the 10/♍︎/☿ years that meriKKKa has had since its “birth” (because of course I did). I am only just beginning to dive head first into this rabbit hole BUT/AND I quickly discovered a few very interesting patterns (which of course I am going to do more research on before I get too excited so please come on this journey with me friends…)
The first thing I noticed was that meriKKKa entered both WWI and WWII during 10 ♍︎ ☿ years. They also coincide with its undeclared attacks on Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Iraq. It’s clear these years are deeply rooted in the deadly, violent propaganda machine that is meriKKKa. It’s eerie considering where we stand as the overlords of the “most powerful” military-industrial complex on Earth today.
If any of this isn’t giving you the shivers, you may be dissociating, and please know that I don’t write these things to cause fear. This is an opportunity to do powerful Magic to disrupt these cycles AND it’s also an opportunity to do that community building that everyone is always talking about. We don’t have to enter WWIII or continue to fund this war machine with our hard-earned tax dollars. We don’t have to have THIS meriKKKa. We can make the repairs and reparations needed to start anew. Virgo is all about this WeRK. Virgo is the perfect energy for that level of healing to begin. If we can, let’s focus on that, together.
